Each year, the Bryn Athyn Church hosts a Marriage Conference. This year they are adding a service component to the conference and in doing so, they have created several volunteer opportunities for the community.
Come help make care packages for couples who need a little extra boost…those who are dealing with health issues, job loss, a special needs child, deployment etc. We will fill boxes with fun things, stories, articles, surprises, bubbles, candy, cookies, books, hearts, hand written cards etc.

To help ahead of time you can donate items to go into the packages. Think about what would be fun for a couple to receive….. things to read, playful Valentine hearts, poppers to celebrate with, yummy things, handmade items, glow sticks, warm socks, poems, magnets, coffee mugs, cds… To help fill the packages, come on Valentine’s day at 1:30 to the Society building, and help make the boxes full of playfulness and love.

Instead of making this holiday a day off, where you retreat from the struggle of daily life, this is an opportunity to consciously make an effort to improve the world you live in.

In collaboration with Delta Mu, CARE, and the Bryn Athyn Cathedral, we managed to round up 150 coats to be donated to HELP Philadelphia and Philadelphia CARES. Just a small effort towards helping keep people warm during an otherwise difficult winter. Thanks to everyone who participated.
Come hear Anders Hyatt and Ryan Tennis perform at Common Ground on the day after Christmas. This will be a relaxing evening of good tunes and warm atmosphere.
