Martin Luther King Day of Service
Each year, during Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we all have the opportunity to keep this great man’s legacy of service alive. Instead of making this holiday a day off, where you retreat from the struggle of daily life, this is an opportunity to consciously make an effort to improve the world you live in.
Join Charity In Action as they travel down to Philadelphia to the Overbrook Art Center. We will be painting indoors and out, removing debris from the building, and planting trees and a rain garden. More importantly, we will be working with a group called Teenagers In Charge to help create a space for teenagers to build self-esteem, heighten their cultural and community awareness, and most importantly, learn how to take charge of their lives.
